1. Roebling Park – Spring Lake (Hamilton Township) (get directions)

Additional Directions: From South Broad Street turn West onto Sewell Ave. The closest intersection to the park is Sewell and McClellan. Continue past McClellan ot the end of Sewell, turn left and drive down the hill to the parking lot.
2. Mercer County Nature and Interpretive Center, at 157 Westcott Avenue, Hamilton. Note: Please do not park on Westcott Avenue.(get directions)

What to do: (The building is currently only open for scheduled events.) For Hiking, walk or drive down hill to Watson Wood and Spring Lake trails.
Additional Directions: From South Broad St. turn west onto West Park Ave. The closest intersection to the park is West Park Avenue and Westcott Avenue. Turn left onto Westcott Avenue and then right at the sign into Roebling Park. Park in the open area/field on the right, before you reach a green chain-link fence that surrounds the Watson house, and just before the road descends downhill. Across the road from the parking area, there is a metal bench near a split rail fence with a path leading to a ranch house. This is the Nature Center.
3. Roebling Park – Watson Woods, Hamilton Township (get directions)

Additional Directions: From South Broad Street, turn west onto West Park Avenue. The closest intersection to the park is West Park Avenue and Westcott Avenue. Turn left onto Westcott Avenue, and then right at the sign, into Roebling Park. Drive past the Watson House, proceed to bottom of hill and continue to parking, hiking trails, picnic tables, and Watson Creek boat launch area.
4. Northern Community Park – Bordentown Township (get directions)

Additional Directions: Northern Community Park is located on Groveville Road between Route 206 and Route 130. Groveville Road is accessible from northbound Route 206, and Route 130 in Bordentown Township. These are the closest major intersections.
5. Bordentown Bluffs, Bordentown Township (get directions)

Additional Directions: This access point is accessible from Route 206 South in Bordentown Township, south of the I-195 interchange. From Route 206 South turn right onto Glen Road, and then left onto Orchard Avenue; drive to the end of the street. The trail begins here. Parking is on the street, along Orchard Avenue. Please be respectful of residents’ driveways, and please do not block mail boxes. Alternative parking is at the Bradley’s shopping center just north of Glen Road on Route 206.
6. Bordentown Beach (get directions)

What to do: Picnicking, Canoeing, Hiking is limited as there are no established trails.
Additional Directions: From Route 206, take Park St. west into Bordentown. Park Street eventually becomes West Park Street; the closest intersection is Prince Street and West Park Street. From there continue down hill to the banks of Delaware River and Crosswicks Creek. The beach is also accessible by Light Rail; use the Bordentown City stop.
7. D&R Canal State Park Tow Path Trail, Hamilton Township
What to do: Hiking, Bicycling
7A. 295 Scenic Overlook (get directions)

Additional Directions: Trails are accessible from the Scenic Overlook on the Nnorthbound Sside of I-295, north of Bordentown. From southbound I-295, park at the Scenic Overlook and cross the pedestrian bridge over the highway to the northbound parking lot. From the parking lot, take the stairs (south end of lot) or ramp leading down to the trail. Follow the trail; after a short distance it will bear to the left, eventually reaching an intersection with the tow path. Turn north (left); the trail goes north 3 miles along the D&R Canal to Canal Boulevard* near Lamberton Road. The canal here is tidal. If you turn south (right), you will shortly reach an undeveloped trail (be aware of poison ivy) that will take you to the southern tip of Duck Island, overlooking Crosswicks Creek, the Bordentown yacht clubs, and Bordentown City beach.
*Note: On some maps Canal Boulevard is called Lamberton Road Connector.
7B. Lock I bridge (via Scenic Overlook)
Follow the directions for 7A above to the trails from the Scenic Overlook. At the trail intersection with the tow path, turn right (south). On your left look for a bridge that crosses Lock 1 of the D&R Canal. The bridge connects with a trail that leads to a second bridge that crosses Crosswicks Creek to Bordentown City. Fishing is permitted from the bridges.
7C. North parking – Lamberton Road access (get directions)

8. Duck Island. Created Wetland, Hamilton Township (get directions)

Trenton boat launch, 1589 Lamberton Road (get directions)
